While we’ve all heard of Candida, most of us don’t actually know what it is and how it works.
But it’s something we do need to know, as almost all of us have it.
And when it gets out of control, as it often does with today’s diets, it can cause all sorts of trouble, affecting our mood, our sleep, our ability to recover both from illness and exercise and our overall health.
And it can create some pretty uncomfortable physical conditions.
If you have any of the following, read this article:

We’ve covered how toxins affect our digestive tract and microbiome.
But now we’re going to cover how the weed killer Glyphosate affects us, because this is one of the most toxic substances there is and, due to its widespread use, it’s in almost all processed foods and non-organic meats.
And it plays a very large roll in the destruction of our digestive tract, microbiome and overall health, leading to some of the worst physical conditions there are, as well as premature aging.
So let’s dive in.

I wanted to talk a little about inflammation.
Because, outside of very obvious causes, such as an injury or infection, few people know what actually causes it in general. And even fewer know what to do about it beyond ignoring it or taking a pain-killer.
Considering it has everything to do with your well being, it is something that does need to be known about.
When we look at problems, illnesses, or conditions of the body, if we’re smart, we look for their cause and address that, not just the symptom.

Aging is a natural process.
Over time, as the stem cells we're born with become used up, our body is less and less able to regenerate itself.
It's less and less able to replace damaged or dying cells and our organs slowly stop working, our skin becomes wrinkled and begins to sag, muscle becomes weaker and our energy levels and health deteriorate.
That's natural.
But then there is accelerated aging, premature aging, where this process happens years or decades before it should. And while this is definitely not natural, unfortunately, it’s becoming more and more common.
We're seeing people in their 30's look like they're in their 40s, and people in their 40's look and feel like they're 50.

It’s spring time with summer around the corner, and if you plan on getting out into the bush or into the mountains, then it’s important you know how to spot ticks and remove them, or prevent them from getting onto you in the first place.
Because their bite can potentially carry harmful bacteria that causes Lyme Disease, Spotted Fever, and a series of other illnesses.
This doesn’t mean you need to be scared at all. Far from it.
It just means that you need to be informed.
You need to know what they look like, where to look for them, and what to do if you find one.
Or, better yet, how to prevent them from getting onto you in the first place so you can have a safe adventure and enjoy the outdoors without worry.

Most people, when they hit 50, and definitely when they hit 60 or 70, start to lose muscle mass and strength. And most of them think this is just a matter of aging.
But, while aging is definitely a factor here, there is much more going on that is speeding up this process.
I’m 74 years old and I still run in Ironman Triathlons.
I’m strong, I’m lean, and I have more energy than many people half my age. And I’m not alone in this.
So, obviously, age isn’t quite the factor most people think.
But there are key differences between those of us who still keep our muscle and strength, and those of us who don’t. And they’re not genetic.
They’re points that anyone can apply to themselves to start increasing strength and muscle mass again, no matter how old they are.
We can still live the lives we want and do the activities we want to do.
So let’s dive in and see what’s happening here and what we can do about it.

Many people consider that the weakening of bones is a natural part of aging. And this is true... in part.
But that doesn’t mean it can’t be slowed. Or even reversed, where we re-strengthen our bones. Especially when it's actually being sped upby our current food systems.
Right now, about 44 million people in the US have low bone density.
This is something that usually starts after the age of 50. But, more and more, it’s occurring earlier and earlier.
And it doesn’t have to be this way.
In this article we’re going to cover what actually causes declining bone density, and how we can prevent and even reverse this, achieving strong bones that last well into our golden years.

Nearly everyone wants soft, healthy, supple skin. Especially as we get older.
This is so much the case that about $17 Billion is spent on skin care products yearly. And most of these products, while providing short term results, actually result in worsening conditions over time.
This is due to the, in some cases, incredibly toxic ingredients used in many of them including hormone disruptors, formaldehyde, chemicals also used as plastic softeners, carcinogens, allergens, solvents and even neurotoxins.
We even have collagen creams containing collagen peptides to help our skin which… are too big to enter through our pores. So they just wash right off of us in our next shower.
In realty, if we want softer, healthier, more supple skin, we need to attack the problem from another angle — internally, by giving our skin what it actually needs to maintain its health and softness. Things that are in very few skin care products.
So let’s see what's actually happening here and what we can do about it.

Did you know low levels of thyroid can bring on not only low energy and weight gain, but also depression and even brain fog?
This can make thinking, problem-solving, and just coping with the everyday stresses of life, much harder.
With the rise in hormone-blocking toxins in our environment, processed foods and processed sugars, and the low amount of protein most of us consume, low thyroid is affecting more and more people, especially among women and the elderly.
In this article we dive into what thyroid is, how low thyroid occurs, how it affects our mood, mental alertness, and our ability to think and cope with the problems of everyday life and what we can do to raise it.
Let’s jump in.

I couldn’t end the Stress Series without bringing up one last topic, as I’m seeing the effects of these more and more: Energy drinks.
The effect that energy drinks and high levels of caffeine have on our bodies, our health, our sleep, our stress levels, our mood, our anxiety levels and our hormones is much more than most people think.
When continued over time, these can have a very significant impact on our long-term health and our body’s ability to function at optimal levels, not to mention our ability to lose fat and gain muscle.
And considering many people who drink these are in their teens or twenties, when their bodies are still developing, the damage they do there can be far worse, leading to acute or even chronic health conditions in the future.
It may seem small, but due to their prevalence and availability now, it’s very important.
So let’s dive in.

To summarize, your body is made of 10’s of trillions of cells. It’s nothing but cells.
And the health and longevity of these individual cells determines how long you will live healthy, strong, with high energy and doing the things you want to do.
While we have our chronological age (our age in years), we also have our biological age (the age of our body according to its internal longevity markers).
Our biological aging can be sped up, slowed down and even reversed.
And this determines both our lifespan, how long we’ll live, and our healthspan, how long we’ll live in a healthy, active state.
And this is all determined by the health of our cells and, more importantly, the health of a limited number of cells called stem cells which exist to replace injured cells throughout our life.
So let’s dive in for a quick refresher...

Testosterone, like Growth Hormone, plays a large role in muscle bulk and strength, as well as fat-burning — in both men and women.
Known as the “male” hormone, we see much higher numbers in men than in women, though women still need this just as men still need some estrogen, the “female” hormone.
Normal testosterone levels give men that chiseled look, high energy levels, and strength.
In women, we also see more definition, muscle, and energy.
And it gives men and women smoother, firmer skin.
But the lower our testosterone levels get, the more fatigued we can feel, and it becomes harder to build muscle and lose fat. It also increases the risk of disease due to its role in conjunction with our immune system and healthy cellular responses.
